We are happy to suggest some free time tips for the holiday region upper Vinschgau and beyond:

Museum of Graun – in the museum old Graun, you can find out more about the history of the famous tower in the lake. Learn more about the building of the Reschen Lake and the thereafter flooding of the villages Graun and Reschen Pass.

Bunker site – visit the tank traps that are still existing, the defence systems from World War II or take a look at the bunkers around the Reschen Lake.

Samnaun – Take a trip to Samnaun, the duty-free village just around the corner in Switzerland (approx. 35 minutes by car). In Samnaun find exclusive clothing, cosmetics and personal care products, spirits, cigarettes and much more to make duty-free shopping at stunning low prices. Also the fuel price in Samnaun is the hammer.

Watles Mountain and Skiresort – alone, as a couple or with the whole family. Take a trip to the mountain experience Watles and enjoy the fantastic view to the whole upper Vinschgau Valley. The newly built fun lake, a 3D archery course as well as a journey with the Watles Rider guarantees a lot of fun and a memorable experience.

Vinschgau valley railway – Get on the Flickerhof on the bicycle, on the well developed cycle path you come directly to the station in Mals. Get in the train and travel for example to Meran. Visit the gardens of the castle Trauttmannsdorff or also the thermal spa in Meran. But do not forget during the journey the beautiful view of the Vinschgau valley and to enjoy.

Glurns – the famous, smallest city in South Tyrol with its not even 1,000 citizens is definitely a must for your holiday in Vinschgau . There's a lot to see. Glurns the small medieval town with its city walls is a real treasure. Some stores will present their products and the cafés invite you to linger. A tour of the town is also definitely recommendable.

Castle Chur – In Schluderns the sights of the Chur Castle enchants every guest. The medieval castle above the village of Schluderns was renewed to a renaissance castle and attracts especially now, with the world's largest private armoury collection. The Castle Chur is in private ownership, for interested visitors guided tours are offered. An experience for young and old. Try it out and discover!
